The Woodland Public Library Literacy Services office offers one-on-one tutoring for adults who wish to improve their English reading and writing skills.
The office is open Monday to Thursday, 9am to 3pm.

Tutors
You do not need to know a foreign language or be a teacher to be a successful volunteer tutor. One of the most effective ways to support the literacy cause is to volunteer your time helping others acquire necessary skills we often take for granted.

Volunteers
As many as one in five Woodland adults has trouble reading and writing. California-born citizens and recent immigrants of all ages need basic literacy skills to become self-sufficient, productive workers, family members, and community citizens.
